Praveen Roy, MD

Dr. Praveen Roy has been with Anchorage Endoscopy Center since 2020.

Dr. Roy is a board-certified gastroenterologist with experience in general gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy. He sees patients in all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Georgetown University/NIH in 2000. Along with his interests in clinical gastroenterology, he is also active in gastroenterology research with a focus on endoscopy. He has over 150 publications/abstract presentations and some of his research work has been cited in major medical textbooks. He also currently serves as a chief editor with Medscape Gastroenterology ( part of WebMD). Prior to coming to Alaska, he held academic faculty positions at different universities in the lower 48. Outside work, his interests include hiking, outdoor photography, and reading history.
